Expert on Sample Survey and Census Techniques and Methodology - both in theory and application. Has developed sampling techniques and methodology, statistical estimation and tabulation procedures for a large number of surveys both in USA and Bangladesh. As a chief of Agricultural Statistics in the Govt. of Bangladesh (then East Pakistan) he introduced sampling methodology for the first time in early ‘1960’s to produce agricultural statistics.

As Director of Statistical Research, Election and Survey, CBS News was responsible developing the statistical models for the internationally prestigious CBS News- New York Times public opinion polls; developed designs and statistical models for coverage of the US national elections, Presidential, Senatorial and Gubernatorial, using exit polls and

sample surveys by CBS News network. As UNFPA Census Adviser to the Government of Bangladesh managed all UNFPA and Dutch Govt. inputs for conducting, processing, preparation and publication of reports of the 199

1 Population Census of Bangladesh. As Supervisory Mathematical Statistician was a member of the Team evaluating the 1990 US Census of Population for undercounts, biases and other possible errors. As Chief Executive Officer and head of the organization the Survey And Research System (SRS) directed all activities and prepared of the report for the ‘Survey on Corruption in Bangladesh’ sponsored by the Transparency International and the Asia Foundation. Had the overall responsibility for conducting of a series of surveys and studies on social and economic reforms and other important national issues for the Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD). Designed and conducted a number of surveys for the World Bank including the Survey on Governance and Institutional Quality in Bangladesh. As Senor Consultant assisted NDI Bangladesh (National Democratic Institute, Bangladesh) was instrumental conducting Electoral Analysis: Surveys on the Integrity on 2001 and 2006 Voters’ Lists. As Consultant assisted DFID Bangladesh conducting Electoral Analysis and Surveys on Monitoring of Voter Listing Process 2008 and Focus Group Research’.
